Private Coaching & Audition Prep

TV & Film Acting for Young Performers

For actors who want to LEVEL UP — and BOOK.

Whether your child is just starting or already auditioning weekly, private coaching is the smartest way to sharpen their skills and prepare them to stand out in today’s ultra-competitive TV & film industry.

I’m Corey Ralston — youth talent manager, acting coach, and former child actor. I help young performers (ages 7–21) develop the creative instincts and professional polish needed to thrive on screen.

Why Private Coaching & Audition Prep?

  • Rapid Skill Advancement — Targeted feedback that moves your actor forward every session.

  • Competitive Edge — Learn the strategies that help actors stand out in auditions.

  • Personalized Mentoring — One-on-one attention to your child’s unique voice and type.

  • Real-World Prep — Practical training that’s designed for one outcome: getting hired.

Actors who coach consistently not only improve their craft — they book more work. Why? Because most young actors audition blind. They memorize and wing it. We work smarter.

What Happens in a Coaching Session?

Every session is tailored to your actor’s needs. Typical elements include:

1. Skill & Scene Work

  • Initial Skill Assessment — We pinpoint strengths & growth areas.

  • Scene & Character Work — Using Uta Hagen & Adler-based methods to unlock choices, truth, physicality, and presence.

  • Audition Technique — Framing performances for the camera, mastering self-tape strategy, understanding tone & style, creating “bookable” moments.

2. Audition Prep

(Available as standalone or part of coaching series)

  • Full Sides & Character Analysis — Breaking down the material for depth, humor, and story.

  • Scene Coaching — Specific performance coaching on delivery, subtext, physicality, pacing, and comedy/drama beats.

  • Self-Tape Feedback & Final Run-Through — If desired, actors can submit self-tapes between sessions for rapid feedback.

  • Mindset & Confidence Coaching — Handling nerves, rejection, and industry pressures like a pro.

Who Is This For?

  • Young actors wanting to break into TV & film

  • Actors actively auditioning who want to book more roles

  • Kids/teens prepping for callbacks or important opportunities

  • Parents seeking trusted guidance for their child’s career

No. I work with both represented and non-represented actors.

What ages do you coach?

Typically ages 9–18. (If your child is slightly younger or older, contact me to discuss fit.)

How many sessions should we plan for?

For skill-building: 7-session package is ideal.

For one-time prep: single session is perfect.

Do you help with self-tapes?

Yes — audition prep sessions always include coaching for self-tape strategy. Feedback on actual tapes can be added if time allows or via follow-up.
