Bad sound is the number one killer of amateur video. / A Microphone is an easy fix to many Self Tape Woes. / A Lavalier or "Lapel" Mic is easily adaptable to use with Smartphones, Cameras and Tablets.
They come with long enough cords to not be confining.
The lapel mic will focus the sound on the Actor and lessen the volume from The Reader, who is usually operating the camera.
