Inspiration Station / Re-work other Works that Work / We want to ONLY produce ORIGINAL Scenes!
Several reasons exist. Like copyright laws for one. But a great reason is to not draw comparisons to something well known. Iconic or familiar scenes, speeches, etc are most often copied by Actors. It is unlikely your self produced version is going to rival or differ enough from the original. It is only going to give a viewer something to score it against and that is probably not a good idea. We want to give them something fresh and new.
But what is new? Every plot line or episode is reminiscent of one you have already seen, This gives us license to pay homage or be inspired by a piece and change it up to fit the Actor's needs and strengths.
